A couple weeks ago I participated in the WNYPGA Assistants Championship at Oak Hill C.C. We play 36 holes in one day, so it was a grind. The first round I fired a 75 and was sitting in 8th place. I knew I needed a good second round in the windy conditions. I ended up shooting 74 and finished in a tie for 4th place. I had to go to a playoff to see if I was going to be the first alternate for the PGA National Assistants Championship held in Port St. Lucie Fla. On the first playoff hole I stuck it 8 feet away and made the putt. I was the first alternate. It was a great tournament for me and my confidence. I played well in the WNYPGA Section Championship and in the Assistants Championship, so it was a successful year.
