Our second WNYPGA Assistants Tournament was held at Wanakha CC. It was a beautiful day outside and the golf was great. I do not think I ever hit the driver as well as I did on the front 9. I hit every single fairway and finished one over par. I made a bogey on a par 4 which I three putted. So, the front nine was some of the best ball striking I had so far this year. Putting on the front was terrible, I had no feel or touch and struggled to even sniff the hole with any putt over 5ft. On the back nine the wind picked up and I made a couple double bogies. I finished the back at 5 over and shot 78 good enough for 3rd. My goal every time I play is to beat each guy in my group, this day I did not. My fellow competitors shot 73 and 74 to finish 1st and 2nd. So it was a successful day, I made so money and had fun with the guys. I just need to get my putting fixed.
