After waking up at 4:30am getting on a plane at 6am and finally landing in Port St. Lucie at 11am I was able to play golf in a short sleeve shirt without a jacket. I was tired, but ready for a practice round. My co-workers gave me some great adivice. Rod called me on Monday before I left and told me to putt like he does, and envision his stroke when I’m putting. Tim told me to really grind all my putts out during my practice rounds. He said it will get me ready for the tournament. I listened to these guys and played a great practice round. My dad was there to caddie for me and that helped. I hit 12 of 14 fairways, 15 of 18 greens and had 31 putts. I finished with a score of (-2) (70). AWESOME!!! I know I can play, but to do it this late in the season gives me a ton of confidence. I also played my practice round with two other guys. Chris Borgen he just missed out qualifing at Q School and Eric Rolland a fine Professional from Minnesota. The best part about the round was that I was hitting it with these guys all day and knocking iron shots closer. It made me realize that I do belong here and I’m glad I am here.
