I had a lesson today that went very well. My student is a strong guy who has trouble seperating his upper and lower body during the golf swing. The first thing I have him do is take his backswing, and I grab the club at the top. As I have the club in my hand I have him turn his hips out. Then I have him swing on that inside path with his hands close to his body. I also set up an empty basket about a foot and a half directly behind the teed up ball, so he has to come from the inside. This drill helps eliminate his arms from getting away from his body and makes him focus on his swing path.
