This past Monday I played in the Holiday Valley Pro-Am, held at the Double Black Diamond Course at Holiday Valley. The tournament was great. I brought an Amature partner along with me and he really enjoyed the day. The golf was great and fun, we had a good quick lunch and had a great dinner after golf. The guys at Holiday Valley, Steve Carney PGA Professional and Kyle Benish, Assistant Golf Professional did a great job and put on a wonderful event. The field was strong and 66 won the event. I tied for 9th with a 72, after bogieing 2 of the last 3 holes I played. Oh well, I have only played about 4 rounds since the middle of June. I did not go into the event expecting anything that is probally I played so well. We played with the owner of Holland Hills Golf Course and his Club Champion. We had a great time and I really enjoyed everyones company. I also think that that was one of the best ball striking days I might have ever had. After bogieing the 1st hole I played, I hit a great drive on the par 5 6th hole to 185 yds and hit a 5 Iron to 6 inches for a tap in eagle. The good ball striking continued as I only missed 3 greens in regulation over the last 16 holes. If I could only putt. Anyway it was fun and I really enjoyed playing with all the guys in my group.
