This past week I was lucky enough to play two rounds on the Upper Course at Peek N Peak Resort with three of my good clients. This was one of the nicest Pro-Am events that I have ever played in. Everything was taken care of, as we arrived we recieved the keys to our condo, which was 4 bedrooms. We then teed off and played 18 holes. We all played pretty well, some of us had some nerves, but I shot 76 from the tips and our team scored a 4 under 140. The course was in great shape and none of the Pro’s could break 70 either day. You can see why the Nationwide Tour used to plan an event at this course. After our round of golf we went back to the condo, there were 12 beers waiting in the fridge, but we had to go to dinner and open bar. We arrived at dinner and ate a great selection of finger foods. We had some drinks and sat down for dinner, no one knew it would be steak and lobster, but that is what it was, and it was great. We stayed until around 10:30 pm and talked with all the Professionals. This was a cool event for me and my amatures. After that we headed back to the condo and got into those 12 beers. We found a Bat and hit some great shots in the dark. All in all the first day was a great time. The second day was tough, some of else felt the effects of the previous night, including me. We had a tougher day the second day, I shot 83 and our team was 4 over par. We had a great lunch and thanked the host professional, Dwayne Randall for an awesome event. We took home our Greg Norman shirt (provided by the Cleveland Clinic) and our golf games looking forward to returning next year.
